wishbonesooner - Don't sell your program short on this win. Alabama got the best of what Oklahoma had to offer, that's all that matters.
While being very happy at the Sooners performance last night, I can't help but feel like we didn't get the best Bama had to offer. We can all talk about how you have to regroup and battle back after a tough loss, but I think your kids were disappointed having to play the Sooners.
A lot of OU fans have felt the same way for the past few years......at least since the great 2008 team. However, he made some dramatic changes after last year, firing three coaches, allowing Venables to matriculate to Clemson & then completely revamping both our O & D schemes. This season was thought to be a rebuilding one, especially starting a new QB, but after the road win in South Bend, it looked like we just might be ahead of schedule. Then the injuries.....losing Cory Nelson and Jordan Phillips right before the Texas game was devastating. UT ran right at our true freshman MLB and RSF nose tackle & with Knight not fully recovered from his injury, we had a terrible O game plan for Bell.To be honest I didn't think Bob Stoops had it in him anymore.
Congrats to the Sooners on a very well played game.
