I was looking to see where some of the SEC teams will fall into regional play...

Current Big XII (or should I say Big XII, Baseball 10) standings after Friday Night games look like this...

1. Texas 14-5 .736
2. Texas A&M 13-6 .684 (would be tied for 2nd but we won the series)
3. Nebraska 13-6 .684
4. OSU 10-6 .625
5. Mizzou 11-7 .611
6. Baylor 9-10 .473
7. Kansas 7-9 .437
8. Tech 7-11 .388
9. OU 2-14 .125
10. KSU 2-14 .125

Only going to say this once. This is an ALABAMA BASEBALL BOARD. Post your standings on a Big 12 board or some where else.

Diamond Tide,

Respective conference standings mean a lot. A team like Baylor (who could very well do wonders in other conferences) may not make a regional because of a sub .500 record in the Big XII. The reason for my post was to see where teams stacked up, and where they may fall into a regional. Sub .500 conference records do not sit well with the selection committee. I'm not trying to ruffle feathers, but obviously since I am an Aggie, my posts are intended to do just that in your eyes.

TiderInIllinois,

You childish, childish man. Grow up and learn to talk like the educated person you are. Sheesh, you fit in just well with your brother and fellow Longhorns.

The problem is that although your intentions may be good, the conversation is nevertheless bound to devolve into some Aggie/Fran rant, which is not what this board is for. Your input is appreciated, but when you come onto the site with an Aggie username, under the current circumstances, it is unfortunately going to start a bunch of mess whether you intend to or not. I know it sounds harsh, but you must realize that by having that username alone, it appears as though you are just asking for trouble. This is an Alabama baseball board, so to avoid future controversy, let's keep the topics of conversation relevant to that subject. No offense, but there is a lot of baseball left to be played in the SEC, and nobody cares about what might be happening in any other conference right now. It's too early to make accurate postseason projections anyway. A lot of things can change over the course of one weekend in any conference, so my advice to you is not to get too hung up in the standings at this point. If you wish to discuss Bama baseball, your comments are welcome, but please spare us the Big XII info for now.
