Don't point at us. We don't like him either.I think most folks, besides barners that is, find cowherds boring.

FIFY.All I will say is ESPN canned him and he now works for the WORST sports network on TV. They absolutely destroyed the US Open last year and their live coverage is horrible.
I think ESPN fired him, in order to save money, and I think he only had listeners because it was ESPN. IOW, I don't think he had a choice in the matter. But I don't know any of that for sure. And I think Cowherd really cost himself by moving to Fox Sports from ESPN, I know one reason was due to the fact that Fox Sports is located in Los Angeles, and he's really high on that.
Remember, Cowherd is a mouthpiece that needs to irritate people to generate opinions. I've also heard him say in the past that if you wanted to go to the NFL, you should go to Alabama. The dude will say anything to generate an opinion, he doesn't care of the potential consequences b/c to be frank, he hasn't suffered at all.
They fired him after he said essentially that baseball wasn't complicated because half the league was made up of Dominicans and Dominicans were stupid. That could have been a last straw of sorts I suppose. Your last sentence describing him is dead on the mark IMO.I think ESPN fired him, in order to save money, and I think he only had listeners because it was ESPN. He's just a contrarian hack that was able to make himself sound more intelligent than he really is. Nothing more.
I think that gave them cover to fire him. Well, I guess what I'm saying is they wanted to fire him regardless but it became easy after that one. They fired him after he said essentially that baseball wasn't complicated because half the league was made up of Dominicans and Dominicans were stupid. It isn't complicated: throw the ball, see the ball, hit the ball, catch the ball, and throw it again. They fired him after he said essentially that baseball wasn't complicated.
