You could tell at the Draft they didn’t want him.

They probably didn’t think he’d play well and discussions would die off.

Apparently, he has an "Oblique" injury, and that's why he sat out practice.

But before all that success, as he came up in the league, Hurts always paid respect to the players he thought paved the way for him; guys like Russell Wilson. And Hurts knows he’s now that type of example for a younger generation of players.

It’s a responsibility he doesn’t take lightly.

“There’s a sense of obligation to be yourself and that’s who I am, to be honest and genuine and expressing how I got to where I am today,” Hurts said. “It wasn’t an easy journey. It’s always going to present its own challenges. Continue to be who I am, continue to carry myself in a humble way. Always putting the work first. And I’m aware of that. I know that’s a torch that I hold.

I hope Jalen expressed to Sanders that at some point he doesn't need to make a "show" out of everything. Just walk into the stadium with your helmet and go get ready to play. Not having a staged cast walking out with staff that have bladed hooks and costumes. Let the entertainment be about how he plays. Too much of the criticism and bad vibes toward Sanders he brings on himself, just like his dad always has done.

Jalen has a better chance of growing wings and flying through the goal post's than he does of teaching Shadeur the importance of humility. Jalen was raised much different than Sanders. As they say, it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but it is especially hard when those tricks have been working for you for years.
