Jalen is a class act. Shadeur will get his chance eventually and I hope he plays well.
I suspect the NFL will humble him a bit, because the NFL humbles every player eventually.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Sanders with a brutal stat line today..

He went 3 of 6 for 14 yards on his five drives (2.3 per attempt) and was sacked five times for 41 yards. He earned a 56.2 rating.

More sacks than completions and negative yardage.

Woof
Though Sanders made some self-inflicted mistakes, his OL today was atrocious. Looked like a swinging door on most plays.

The one highlight (lowlight) I saw looked exactly like his worst sacks at Colorado.

The plays where he gets pressure and tries to do that Manziel/Mahomes spin away/retreat/ rollout to throw on the run but instead of getting the pass off he eats dirt 25-30 yards behind the LOS.

I'm sure the Browns have an awful OL situation too though and postgame Sanders tried to be positive and didn't throw anyone under the bus so that's a plus in his favor.

I am kinda sorta astonished that the NFL guys couldn't see that Jalen was here for four years, attended numerous camps, worked with private QB coaches, received a kajillion snaps in practice, played and started his first two years, started his last two years, and basically remained a turnover machine the whole time that could not process the field enough to run an offense.

I don't see how you look at his body of work and ever think he is going to suddenly make a leap to playing in the NFL in an offense more complicated than ours.

ESPN reporting Buccaneers waive Shilo Sanders, Deions other son, after being ejected for throwing a punch in last night's preseason game.
He should have been ejected and it's within reason for the Bucs to release him.

But

The same should have happened to the Bills player.

He continued blocking and mauling and shoving and baiting Sanders well.... and I mean WELL after the play was dead.

The Bills player is a PUNK and baited the response.

Unfortunate for Sanders he took it.

Here’s the play:

He must miss Daddy Football.
Both Sanders kids are probably a bit spoiled and entitled and understandably that makes them unlikeable to a degree.

That Bills TE Shoved him 15-20 yards backwards after the play was dead just TRYING to get a retaliation.

You can see Sanders trying to let up and disengage from the whole encounter and the Refs are just letting it happen.

He shouldn't have snapped but it's understandable why he did.

It was worse than the AU player shoving Devonta Smith (CB) in the 24 IB but that got worse because it carried into the bench and got multiple players involved.

Smith snatched his Helmet off and really showed his rear end on the field.

There were as far as I remember no punishments other than on the field PF penalties.

I believe he's a ND now. Why he left I'm not sure.

But there is always context and it's usually never safe to thrown stones from glass houses.

I think the thing with Shedeur is that his aura, his personality is bigger than his ceiling as a NFL QB, which is Kirk Cousins, Andy Dalton, Geno Smith, etc, and that's not a bad ceiling, but he'll never be Lamar, Josh, Pat, Burrow, etc.

And I don't want Shedeur to change who he is, it's not like he's a bad kid who gets in trouble, he's a good kid but I think of a lot of Shedeur supporters in the media and the fans need to understand that he's not a star QB at all and even if he reaches his ceiling, he won't be one.
