Great job, Smitty! The way he elevated his play after Waddle was injured has been absolutely incredible. He has been a fantastic player during his four years in Tuscaloosa, but he always seems to step up when he is needed the most. This is a huge award, and he deserves it. Roll Tide!

I really don’t think so either, I just wish they were not during game week. Even if Smitty prepares the same, there are media demanding a few minutes of their time, etc . Plus he isn’t the only one winning awards! Also, I wished they pushed the Heisman award until the Tuesday after the championship game. They waited this long, one more week won’t kill them!

Well deserved! Fine young man to boot. We`ve had some great receivers at Alabama, all the way back to Don Hutson. Pretty hard to argue with Smitty not being the GOAT. If he wins the Biletnikoff and Heisman, not much argument at all IMHO.
