Randy, that's the stupidest, most bone-headed post I've ever seen!
Oklahoma is good for atleast 15-18 points!
Seriously, we're gonna lose. We are gonna lose tonight if we don't play better defense. The matadore impersonations of the pre-season wont get it done against Oklahoma, who is as athletic and talented as we are.
I hope we win, and if we play defense we should.

As a Sooner, I can't imagine a tougher way to start the season than by playing a talented and experienced Tide team in Madison Square Garden.
Historically, Kelvin Sampsom's OU teams have started slowly and have not hit their stride before Big XII action commences. However, Kelvin has never had as much returning talent as he has this year, so I am not sure what to expect.
The style of officiating could have some bearing on the outcome of the game. OU likes to play a very physical defense, and referees who permit some body contact are an advantage to us. Of course, Alabama may be in a similar situation for all I know.
I will be surprised if this is not an immensely entertaining game. I am going to pick OU to win 74-71, but I am prepared to back down if anyone challenges the strength of my convictions by offering to bet.
Win or lose, I think both teams will gain from this experience.

ESPN has Pettway hobbled with a knee injury. I don't know if he's out or not but with Winston also being out, I don't really like our chances.
Oklahoma (in my opinion) was the best team in the country last year at season's end.
It's gonna take a big time effort to pull this out.

Bama is a little dinged-up right now (season hasn't even started yet!) and has not yet found an "identity". I think it may take a little longer than most Bama fans are going to like.
Luckily, this is a very early season game, and is a sport with playoffs!
So I am going to sit back and enjoy the game no matter who wins! However, I think it likely that Okalahoma wins by 7.

Hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t get a good feeling about this game.
OU may run a lot of three guard offense. And we didn’t exactly overwhelm Kent State in defending that last year. Who knows if Shelton and Pettway can keep up physically.
IMO, we should be able to do some damage against them on the low blocks. I don’t think OU has anybody who can totally stop Erwin. And, because of a couple of injuries, OU is not real deep at the PF and C spots. I understand that Kelvin Sampson has taken the redshirt off of freshman Larry Turner. (remember him?) In any case, for us to have a chance to win, I think Terrance and Kenny will have to step up big-time. And, without a healthy Shelton and Pettway, I’m just not sure we have the speed to run with the OU greyhounds.
My heart says Bama in a close one; my mind says:
OU 75

I'm very late...so I'll go ahead go with what I've seen so far...after watching the first few minutes, pending some BAMA subs, the Sooners look too quick for our defense. If BAMA can hang, I say: Tide 68 - OU 64.
