these same players everyone is saying good riddance to

are the same one's talent wise that helped us win 6 national championships and 8 SEC since 09

We will not be ok if we don't replace with same caliber level of players. I don't care if Saban was still here

This is/was/will be a transition year. Yall just need to accept that fact right now. There was never a good time for CNS to retire. Some of this is due to timing of that, but not really much we can do about it. The man was entitled to retire whenever he wanted. He earned that.

I'm not sure that any of the players who transferred won even one of the six national championships under Saban.

But we will certainly need to continue to put top-flight talent on the roster or we will struggle.

Coach Saban always got great talent. This was certain. However, this didn’t always translate into a perfect team or unity. If Coach DeBoer can get good to great talent and make a great “team”, we will be alright. Coach Bryant didn’t always have 4 and 5 stars across the board, but he took what he had and made a great team many times from it.

Totally realize this is a teaser title, yes.

It’s honestly all over Tyler Booker’s interviews: Family. Maybe that won’t get Alabama national titles, but having the greatest accumulated college football talent in history didn’t either.

This. Too many people get lost in the star ratings. Those don't always lead to a stellar career. While the athletic level is a "known commodity" with a 4/5 star athlete, it also has to do with exposure. There are a lot of kids out there that can play. Individuals don't make a team, a collection of team players do. When you play for the guy beside you it leads to players going the extra mile to be successful and helping each other out when needed on and off the field. Me first is seldom successful.

Winning championships with just "great teams" with "great chemistry" and less than elite talent across the board is the exception vs the norm

We've proved that because we've been the most talented team 1-4 for the last 17 years and won more championships than anyone else in that span of time

The days of dominating by any school are over. It was a hell of a run though
