Poll: Do you think it's childish for a grown man or woman to wear a Bama jersey?

I got a #29 Dennis Riddle jersey for Christmas when I was a kid, I was 12. It had no name on the back, only the number. Eventually it became an Ahmaad Galloway jersey and more recently a Terry Grant jersey. It's been hanging up in a closet for the past decade and I doubt I'll ever get another one, unless it were a neat piece of memorabilia. It would have to be game used or signed, but even then I wouldn't wear it. However, I've got no problem with those that do choose to wear them.

I was raised that you should always want to look your best. No matter where you are or what you're doing, you never know who you're going to run into. For me, wearing an Alabama jersey doesn't constitute me looking my best. That's not a knock on the jersey, after all, they're the best looking ones in CFB. For me, my best is a pair of khakis, a polo shirt, or a button up. I've always been told that you dress for the part you want in life. I'm not going to criticize someone else for what they think might be their best, who am I to judge?

I have never been the type to wear any jersey. But to each his own, and I don't make fun of people that do. I own some jerseys, they are all signed and framed.

I used to wear jersey's. But now wearing my "married weight" I dont look so good in one. So I go with a larger tshirt. LOL

But I think its fine for anyone to wear a jersey. Now putting your last name or nickname on the back. Thats dumb.

I have a home and away #85 that was pre used and I bought it from the supestore a few years ago. I wear them to Bama games I attend and when I am watching them on my 40 inch lcd hd tv at home on my reclinging couch :biggrin:

i don't have any problem with it as long as it's not like one of those from wal-mart. they don't even look like our jerseys. why would someone ever buy one?

however, i'll never wear a bama jersey just because i don't really like football jerseys. same with basketball. i will wear nhl and soccer jerseys. i have a nicklas lidstrom hockey jersey and wear it quite often. i also have a pavel datsyuk t-shirt.

Yes it's childish, there's no debate. Go to the Locker Room and buy some real clothes the wear to the games. If you're over 14, no more jerseys. Sorry.

Just my personal opinion but for WOMEN my answer is SEXY, assuming that's all she has on!

Actually I'm in the to each his own crowd but I wouldn't wear one! I own a Namath Jersey and a Stabler Jersey but I wouldn't wear one on game day.

It is my personal opinion that Jersey's are great for kids to wear to games and again Ladies whenever she wants to... just something about a lady in a jersey that does it for me (it's like a lady wearing a button down shirt of mine (again with nothing else)!:wink:

I bought a #22 about midseason last year. I wore it for every game with my lucky Bama hat on Saturdays. I'll be wearing it again this year everytime we take the field. My four sons wear #8 as you can see in the avatar. :BigA:

It's our way to show support for the team......but to each his own.

I own 3 football jerseys and one baseball jersey signed and worn by Wade LeBlanc. I seldom wear a jersey preferring to wear a polo or button collar shirt. But I voted no.
