to Doug Bell from 101.1 FM the source radio station. He had a great sports show. He got fired from the station for some unspecified reason. I sure miss his fight song friday. If anyone knows where he is now, that information would be great.

He was on the XM broadcast of the US Open this year. I'm not sure whether or not it's a full time gig.

Fight Song Friday was great. But Doug didn't start it. The guy who started that show (can't remember his name but he's the B'ham guy who does the voices of football. Bryant, Dye, Stallings, Forney, Eli Gold, Bowden, etc.) started it and Doug carried it on when the show creator was ran off. Doug is still around but I think he does pick up gigs where he can. I know he's on a boat commercial for Guntersville Boat Mart. His wife (Brenda LaDunn) is still on the air with ABC 33/40.

Doug Bell used to do the Bama PPV games in the 90's with Mal moore I believe.
He had a local sports show before the station dropped sports from their line up. the reason Doug took it over was because the guy before him went to do a regional sports show out of Miss. 101.1 fm dropped sports from their line up and do only politics now.

He was a Florida Grad but still had fondness of the Tide since he worked for them. He also used to do sports for the local CBS station in Bham.
