Don Kausler... "You know what, that Lane Kiffin guy at Tennessee has a really good idea about getting attention."
 
Wow-he really messed up. I could understand (not forgive, mind you) the part about Alabama not moving up, but HELLO! LSU lost and Don says they did not fall in the polls...shouldn't this be his first clue to double check his info??

Yeah, Bama not moving is believable, but LSU staying at #4 should have been one helluva red flag and he can't feign ignorance because he commented on it.

The relationship I always saw between Ian and Coach Saban was more or less a show. Ian didn't really seem to mind being whipping boy in the press conferences, while it allowed Coach Saban to score more points with his very detailed answers. ;)

I know I have said this a couple times before, this guy is terrrible and for some reason he apparently goes out of his way to write articles that are not only inaccurate but very irritating to Bama fans. How in the world someone like DK Jr. is the Alabama beat writer for the B'ham News is beyond me. Bama is 6-0 and number two in the country and he is able to somehow work the term 'fails' into the title of his inaccurate Bama victory article. lol

I will glad to see this guy disappear off the discussion radar of Tide Fans.
 
A mistake like that would have been noticed and Mr. Kausler might have gotten nothing more than a bit of good-natured ribbing for his mistake if he wasn't so unapologetically arrogant. His attitude is the reason for the mean spirit of the responses to his mistake.

Regarding his stories about getting in Coach Bryant's face and how he allegedly handled some irate fan who vandalized his mailbox: I don't really believe either of those tales. I think that he just makes up stories to make himself feel significant.
 
yeah, the use of the word FAIL in the title of the story actually bothered me more than the complete INACCURACY of the story. He always has a negative slant. If this guy lasts another week, that is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the bham news.

Crossing Coach Bryant might have been what landed him in South Carolina for all these years.
 
The guy has lost all of what little credibility he had left (and there was very little even from the first day back on the beat). He is obviously losing it (or already lost it?) professionally. Either way, I agree with the poster(s) above: the guy needs to be "relieved of duty" asap. He's made more than this one gaffe---it is simply the most recent and obvious one in a string of embarrassing writings...

I would add that we do not do business with anyone who advertises at the Post-Herald until he is gone!
