It became increasingly obvious that Florida State has made a very strong impression shortly after the ceremony to officially name Goldman, the nation's top undecided prospect, to the Under Armour All-America Game in January. It was part of the 80-stop American Family Insurance presents the Under Armour All-America Game selection tour.

"It was playoff atmosphere," the 6-foot-4, 310-pound prospect from Washington D.C. Friendship said of his visit last month to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Oklahoma game. "It was to the point where it was past passion. People were standing the whole game. That's how loud it was. They lost (so) it could have been better but other than that it was great."

Re: DT Eddie Goldman Update

We need to get Eddie to a Bama game (LSU) and he will see what atmosphere really is. Are we going to get an official from Goldman?

Re: DT Eddie Goldman Update

Not sire if this is from EG or ESPN just throwing it out there.

Goldman said he'll announce his college decision on national signing day in February. He also is considering Auburn, California, Maryland, Miami and Clemson.

Looks like he may prefer being a big fish in a small pond. Surely he realizes that, although he will get a lot of attention wherever he goes, he will garner even more with a team contending for championships.
*U and "The U" will likely be in ncaa hot water for a few years.....Maryland and Cal will always be Maryland and Cal......looks like Clemson is the best choice from that group. His best bet is to reconsider and check out The Crimson Tide.

Re: DT Eddie Goldman Update

Eddie attended an F$U game with a "playoff atmosphere" that F$U lost. CNS needs to get Eddie in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 5th for the game with LSWHO. "Playoff atmosphere" and "passion?" Eddie ain't seen nothing yet til he's been in T-Town with the house rocking. Tuscaloosa will blow him away on gameday against a quality opponent.

that meant in addition to bama and fsu i believe. they were both mentioned previously.

Re: DT Eddie Goldman Update

Looks like we are going to get a visit from Goldman according to Bamaonline and Tidesports. Premimum articles and not sure if it will be a OV and not sure which game he is coming to. I'm hoping the LSU game. I think Goldman or Quay Evans is our top priority left in this class.

Goldman wants to officially visit Alabama during the season but he has not scheduled the date yet. His top seven schools are FSU, Bama, Miami, the barn, Clemson, California, and Maryland. He said that he plans to make his decision on NSD.

Lord, please clear his schedule and any other obstacles and have him here @ the LSU game instead of the Georgia Southern game.:)

FSU tanking is giving us a big boost for the time being, but this kid won't be done until the ink dries on the dotted line come first Wednesday of February. Hopefully we can get him into Tuscaloosa on November 5th, but truth be told his recruitment hasn't even really started yet.

DE Mario Edwards' FSU commitment is 'tenuous' at best. He is definitely a very soft-verbal to FSU and he is seriously looking at OU. That could be a big help to Bama with their chances of landing Goldman. Goldman and Edwards have talked about wanting to play together at FSU.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Peer through the dust and across the windswept plains from atop Memorial Stadium, where Mario Edwards' Denton Ryan Raiders played Thursday night some 20 miles south of the Red River, and if you squint just right, yes, that might be Oklahoma on the horizon.

Less than 48 hours later, in fact, Edwards could nearly see it, too.

"Right now," he said after watching Oklahoma dismantle Texas 55-17 at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, "OU seems like it's the team for me."

The nation's No. 1-rated college prospect, Edwards, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive end with hard-to-believe speed and agility for his size, is back on the market in recruiting. He committed in March to Florida State, the college home of his father, Mario Sr., a former NFL cornerback with Dallas and Tampa Bay.

Also saw that Dante Fowler the best commit probably after Edwards is now going to take visits and LSU might be in the driver seat for him. Fowler and Edwards along with Casher are the big 3 DEs that they have commited but all 3 seem to be looking elsewhere. I think out of them the only we may have a chance at would be Casher, but either way if they leave chances for UA only increase.

I am pretty sure CNS and the staff never stopped recruiting Casher. I hope they can turn him and sign him into the 2012 class.

Great athlete but imo alot of fishy business going on with him

You are right the whole transfer to another HS in order to qualify for college and sitting out his senior year could negatively impact his Bama recruitment.

Casher transferred to Davidson this summer from Faith Academy and, since the schools share overlapping districts under Alabama High School Athletic Association rules, he may be ineligible to play due to transfer rules.

Casher, a Florida State commitment who is No. 3 on The Birmingham News' Super Seniors list, is trying to make up lost ground academically in order to qualify as a freshman at FSU, and believes transferring to Davidson will help him do that.

DL Eddie Goldman of Washington, DC has taken one official visit thus far to Florida State and, according to his coach, is still in the planning mode for his others. “Alabama and Clemson look good,” Aazaar Abdul Rahim said. “I’m not sure on others. Auburn, Cal, Maryland, Miami.
