Possibly all he is being told is that he will be given a fair shot at QB, ala JJ. No harm in that, IMO, and no dishonesty. Give him an honest opportunity, & if it doesn't work out, you've gained an outstanding athlete, & who knows, he could turn out to be the next M. Vick. I've seen some QB's with unorthodox throwing motion, that turned out pretty good. At any rate, I think our coaches were up front with JJ, & his situation turned out pretty well.

I am not saying there is any harm in telling him he would get a look at QB.............but if you read the article on A B's comment or BS .He told EA he would be a perfect fit in their O scheme....Yeah right! It was the usual Tubbie/AB BS! I just was pointing out the similar load of BS they used on KL,and many other prospects they went head to head with us on!.

I think Earl Alexander would be a certain redshirt if he signed with ALabama. Hes a great athlete, but very raw. Hawthorne, Smith, and McCoy are much more polished as a WR at this point(which is why i would prefer to take them), but no doubts his potential. Supposedly his hands need a little work too and we need WR with glue on their hands.

I agree with that assessment. Stover will get on the field next season and no doubt at all Hawthorne would if he signed.
