Bama is better this year and so is Clempson...small edge to Bama because of our schedule and we were better than them last year...
Both teams have "generational" QB talent...small edge to Bama because Tua is older and more experienced
Both teams have really good Dlines...edge to Clempson because overall are better at the position and also have more depth...Big Dexter will help if he returns but the difference is minimal...
Linebackers...even
Secondary...weakest part of both teams...even
Oline...Bama is better
Wideouts...Even...both teams have plenty of freaks
Tightend...edge Bama...Irv is the best in the land and the game maybe won with how we use him!
Running Backs...even...both have a stable of running backs...Clempson's best back may be their 4th team freshman Lynn j Dixion...remember that name...he will have a breakout year next year!...even
special teams...both are average...even
Folks...i'd love nothing more than for Bama to bring home the NC AGAIN! And i am confident we will. But mark it down...Clemson is every bit as good as UGA and certainly is coached better. I'm afraid this is going to be a old fashion dog fight like 2015 and 2016. I keep up with the details of "UA" football and other than Bama, I know more about Clempson than any other team because I have two 30 year friends that work on their staff. They certainly respect us a ton...and i have never heard them say a negative syllable, but over and over they say this team is way better than 2015, 2016 and 2017...and they say over and over Lawrence is for sure better than Watson. Say they have never seen anything like it when the ball comes out of his hand. I'm just glad TLaw is a freshman instead of a junior on this team. From their perspective they will be better next year than this year.
Bama 28 Clemson 24 #RTR
Both teams are better. Bama is far better.
Tua is far better than TL at this time. Who knows what the future holds, but Tua is heads and shoulders right now.
Dexter will not be playing. Period. End of story. And that hurts Clemson's d-Line and also in the OL-DL matchup.
With Bama's injuries Clemson could have a slight edge at LB.
Close call on defensive backfields. I'd take our guys, though. Since Diggs isn't coming back I might concede this.
Bama is better on the o-line, but has to have a stellar game come next Monday.
Close on WR groups, but Bama's depth and usually sure hands tilt this one in my book.
TE: Bama
RB's: Again, Bama's depth and overall experience here gives a slight edge in my book.
ST: Clemson routs in this category, though the gap is not as wide as early season.
Clemson is going to be a tough, physical out. Lawrence may eventually be better than Watson, but he's not yet. He is still a talented QB and quite dangerous. I agree they are better next year most likely
