A friend just sent me this email and it has some good advise about gameday.
Dear Crimson Tide Fan:
This week more than 92,000 of you will make your way to campus to help us celebrate the beginning of a new football season in the first home game coached by Nick Saban.
As I’ve stated on a number of occasions, in all my years in athletics, I’ve never experienced as much enthusiasm or as much anticipation for a season to begin.
While the unprecedented demand for tickets to see the Crimson Tide play is a wonderful situation to have, with it comes logistical complications. We will have many more people on and around campus than ever, including a record number of students as well as many fans who will arrive without tickets; but who want to be part of the atmosphere on the quad and other areas.
I strongly urge each and every one of you who plans to be here, not only for the opener but also for any other event, to please go to UAGameday.com and familiarize yourself with traffic flow and parking. There have been changes in both areas, and it will help you make your plans to arrive early and come with a group of your friends.
Certainly, our staff is aware that there will be moments of frustration. But it is part of the process of having a growing fan base as well as an ever expanding campus and community, all of which is important to the future success of our football program and for the well-being of our University.
I look forward to seeing many of you next week and throughout the upcoming season.
Kindest Regards,
Mal Moore
Director of Athletics
