Williams said his son dreamt of becoming a champion American footballer from his early teens.

"When I stood in front of his first game at Alabama I cried like a little baby," he said.

"Just seeing my son run out in the tunnel in front of 100,000 people - that's what he told me he would do when he was 14."

That's got to be awesome as a parent to see your kid live out a dream. I mean, there are a lot of kids that want to play D1 football, and may do, but for a kid from the other side of the globe (i've made that 15hr45 min flight from LA to Melbourne - it's a looong way) to excel at a premier institution - just like he wanted to do since he was 14. Does it get better than that for a parent?

Sis-in-law and hubby live in Sydney, and he is big into Australian football. He watched the game there - he said it was awesome, and Jesse has a big following in Sydney as well.
Guess I'm gonna have to send them some championship apparel......
