Grandslammers Fan Day is generally the first Sat in Feb, which would be the 6th, but there is nothing on rolltide.com yet. Can anyone confirm that? If you've never gone and are close enough to do so, it's a great day. Generally not a huge crowd, but it definitely makes you want to see some baseball!!! The guys all look so excited and ready to get the season
started. The boosters have some apparel for sale-kids can get player autographs and pix-BBQ plates for sale-usually a short game, too. Maybe they will give an update on the renovations.

Can someone give me some specifics on it, cost to get in stuff like that. I have a 6 month old son and would love to start taking him and getting some pictures and autographs from players. It could be an every year thing for my family to do, I'm just almost 5 hours away so I need to know some specifics before we load up and drive over there!

Thanks guys in advance.

There is a little bit of info at the Grandslammers link on the baseball page of rolltide.com, but it's from the '07 program. Hopefully the info Play Ball! mentioned will have some details for this year. The cost for lunch is usually $10 adult and $5 kids. When we went last year, we missed the first part of the morning program so I can't really tell you about that. We got there in time for lunch in the coliseum. After lunch, the team was introduced and each told a little about themselves. The players sat separately and anyone who wanted autographs had an opportunity to go down the length of the table and get their placemat/team photo signed by all players. At the registration table you also have a chance to buy t-shirts and other booster apparel, they have schedules, etc for you to pick up. After all that there is a short scrimmage game. We had a great time, and it was fun to see all the guys up close and acting like regular college kids :) We are 4 hours away and going again.

Sorry to steal your thunder! I just know I had trouble getting a reservation at my favorite hotel last week, and wanted to start the conversation. Thanks for the REAL details! I'm ready to see the guys on the field.

Play Ball! With your connections, could you get the Grandslammer link on rolltide.com updated?? It may be helpful to have the new info and maybe some merchandise photos. The membership form is dated 2007, also. I know the boosters work hard for all their events, and it never hurts to have more support. Just a thought.

New Tide I agree with you on all points, but some things we need to discuss offline. Have you gone to Diamond Tide's site? Its diamondtide.tidefans.com.
Much of the booster club information is on that site and he does a good job of keeping it current.
And don't worry about stealing thunder there really isn't any to lose.
Thanks for your support.

You're right, I'm wrong! Sorry! Didn't realize it was there. Thanks for the gentle admonishment. Certainly wasn't trying to be disrespectful!! I come here for all my info and love it. I checked the DT site, and everything I was looking for was right there.

DT - forgive my ignorance! and thanks for all you do for Bama Baseball.
