Returning to the reality of the Transfer Portal: ran across a statistic that over the last 3 years only 45% of players who entered the Portal actually found another school to sign with. 55% gave up a scholarship and have not found a replacement. Anywhere.

BTW, Amari Niblack is now transferring to TA&M...He has not been outstanding -- just so-so -- @ Bama and Texas. Measurables will get you a roster slot evidently.

You would think that it wouldn't take long for numbers like that to let these guys know that the grass is not always greener on the other side. However, young folks are rarely known for thinking logically. They get angry or tempted and jump at the first thing that looks better. Oh well, some of the best life lessons are the ones you have to learn the hard way. Good luck to the 55% who lost scholarships and now have to figure things out.

It could be the best for them...learn that you are not going to "the league" and that your "brain" has to carry you to success in life. Most college athletes have to learn this sooner or later.
