I'm quickly becoming a big Brooks fan. He's no-nonsense, a full on UGA homer, and seems to spend a lot of time evaluating tape with the intent on understanding the why of a team as well as the how. (it's like a younger, more in-depth version of Cubelic)
I think his eval of Pavia is dead on, and oddly confirmed by Josh on the Nerds breakdown.
Yes Vandy runs the ball, but they are incredibly more balanced than anyone wants to give them credit for. If Pavia beats us, it will be bc of improvisation and connecting on deep shots. If we want to stop him, we will need to win on 1st and 10 and (hopefully) 2nd and 8 (or better). They will need to earn the right to take those deep shots.
We'll see. The Vandy Offensive line is (stop me if you heard this before) filled with 4-5 year guys, mostly from the portal. They're physical and smart. I don't like the matchup at all with how soft we play the run, but maybe we're disruptive enough to keep a handful of their drives from having success.
