Down to the final 9 games. Does Bama make a surprise surge or end with the highly expected face-busting flop?
2 Weeks ago I would have said that 5 wins would have been hugely successful. With two wins amassed I could see Bama winning 3 of the last 9. The following schedule is certainly not favorable:
@ Mississippi St. (playing shaky ball since getting ranked. Blown out by 20 at Ark. and close loss at home to Tenn.-sound familiar?)
@ Kentucky (3 straight wins- 4 after Auburn and beat Tenn.)
OLE MISS (lost 3 of 4 but destroyed No. 18 Vandy-always tough to play at home)
@ South Carolina (lost 5 of 7, hard to gauge- lose to UNC-Asheville beat OleMiss???
@ Auburn (playing most teams close but still just as erratic as Bama-depends on which team shows up)
ARKANSAS (This game is worrisome. After back to back losses Ark. has destroyed three straight teams)
@ Ole Miss- (see above)
@ LSU (Beat Auburn on the road, almost beat Bama, this team is maturing quickly and I think will be much stronger when Bama sees them in BR)
VANDERBILT (Stopped the bleeding after losing 4 of 5. Still a good team that AL always has trouble with...probably because they are well coached
)
I see a very tough stretch ahead. It's truly sad but I would be grateful to make the NIT this year.
Prediction: 2-7 to finish
Overall: 15-16
No NIT
