Welcome to the board.

How do you connect to the Tide? From here, lived here, have family here, or are you just a fan with incredibly good taste in college teams and made the a logical choice? :)

My parents were born and raised in Northern Alabama. They along with my brother moved to MI before I was born. I was born and raised on Alabama football because of my parents and brothers love for the Tide!! It made for an interesting time living here in MI for my brother and I as we grew up, since everyone around us were either U of M or MSU Fans. We always wore our 'Bama hats ans shirts with pride. Still do! My "A" flag is still outside on my house, I have yet to take it down. Roll Tide!!

Nothing like Baptism by fire ---- Mods should we saddle the rookie with the AU avatar for letting us know his post count ;) ..... hahahahaha
Welcome the board and wear the Crimson and White proud up there -- should be an interesting couple of months for you leading to the opening game against Michigan. Just guessing but you probably don't get much smack talk from MSU fans, huh? And I think there is a pretty healthy respect among Bama and Wolverine fans.

Welcome! I have family in the Flint area (Bama recruited a running back from Flint named Mark Ingram). You may have heard of him. My sister in Durand is a Big-Blue fan so we've circled the 1st game of next season when Bama plays Mich in Big-D. I'm sure there will be some good natured banter going on back and forth between me and Sis. Hopefully we don't miss an extra point like we did in the Orange Bowl 1999-2000 vintage if memory serves. Anyway, Roll Tide!

One of the more frustrating games I've ever been to. We had multiple 2-TD leads only to see Tom Brady lead Michigan back time and time again.
Chris Samuels missed the game due to injury, but Shaun still had an unbelievable game.
And yes, Ryan Flughner (spelling?) missed an extra point in the second overtime I believe and that's how we lost, 35-34.

Welcome. I find Michigan fans almost as insufferable as Ohio St fans, so you have my sympathy for where you live.
You hit the nail right on the head. Most Michigan fans are arrogant with their noses up in the air. Look dowm upon the masses, especially those who reside in the SEC. Michigan State fans are actually just the opposite. Pretty classy, well grounded fans. Looking forward to the game this Fall at Jerry World!! RTR!!

I really enjoy visiting the upper part of the lower peninsula: Petosky, Charlevoix, Traverse City, etc. I enjoy climbing the Sand Dunes on Lake Michigan, looking for Petosky stones, drinking a little wine from northern Michigan, etc. I probably eat tooooo much chocolate at the Cherry Republic just testing their samples.

I would really enjoy going to a Bama vs Michigan game in Ann Arbor. I wish we could have a home and home with them. We will against MSU.

Welcome aboard and Roll Tide!:BigA:
