Napier needs an OC, IMHO....someone to do a better job calling the plays and schemes. Some of the stuff I saw this year was ridiculous, frustrating, and sad.

I suppose that falls under a head coaches 'responsibility umbrella', so his problem to fix, although I also feel our AD Scott Stricklin should bring this to his attention as appropriate if need be.

If that 2 point play fails Kelly gets a C+
Eh, the O/U for LSU in the pre-season was 6.5. I'd say the kid-killer in Red Stick did better than any expected, even without the Bama win.

I've not been as optimistic as many here about Napier - history is littered with guys who do well against lesser competition but look quite average against the best.

I can recommend an OC for him.

I just don’t get the hype by many Bama fans on here about Napier. Maybe he will make Florida a group of killers but I saw many here predicting a 10 win season and SECE crown. After one year I’m not too impressed.

If they lose he would be fine, but if they lose because they failed to convert that 2 point conversion then he would be roasted alive.

I agree that LSU was far more improved than anyone had the right to expect, but a lot of that would have been lost with one more loss, without the win over Alabama and by taking a risk like that and having it backfire.

He is a very good head coach. Let's see where it goes from here.

He’s been very active in the portal, and is in the running IMO to win that “competition “ this year. And these days, the portal is the gateway to “win now”. Even Kirby is in on the action, and can no longer brag about doing it with only “their” players. It’s the way today.
Bama needs Dippre; hope he comes.

UF was in a mess when Napier came...had athletes but obviously fan support and team unity seems to be an issue -- at least from the outside. If this Ol can play to their size, then QB will not be their problem. I think UF gives UGA a run for their money.

Billy has got to be feeling the heat. Can't seem to get the QB he needs so he is building up the trenches to give the the next guy a fighting chance. Smart move.
Absolutely!

FYI: we have a good QB coming in next year with D.J. Lagway.

And as far as this year goes.....I've heard that Billy is still open to getting one more.

But even if he doesn't......I'm not so sure what we have in Jack Miller III and Graham Mertz won't get the job done.

I wouldn't put too much into the first season of a new head coach. The first season is a transition and is usually quite difficult. Season two is when you see the most progress if a head coach is the right hire. I hope Florida starts to do better since someone needs to check UGA over there in the east.

Napier has been doing a great job on the recruiting trail

my question is if the fans and program will give him the time to bring in these players and develop them

las Vegas sees the gators as 6-6 or 7-5 this year. Looking at their schedule, I have to agree
