Even though Florida's opponent last Saturday (Long Island U.) was not considered to be much of a test of anything......I think it was helpful for those wondering about their QB situation.

Gators fans caught a glimpse of the potential future behind DJ Lagway at the quarterback position against Long Island Saturday. Florida true freshman quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. entered the game in the second half and shined.

Jones completed 12 of 18 passing attempts for two touchdowns and 131 passing yards. He entered the game in relief of Lagway, who logged three touchdowns and 120 passing yards.
Saturday South Florida gives Florida more of a test, so we'll see.
Then Florida travels to Death Valley - and that game will tell us even more.
