Fluker says TJ almost didn't score

While I applaud Mingo for even getting a finger on him..That's all he did..Yeldon had a full head of steam going forward..And while Mingo was fast enough to close the gap..He was never close enough nor did he have the right angle to keep TJ from scoring a TD..You're not going to stop TJ from scoring when he's got forward momentum & is so close to the goal line(not from behind him any way)..It wasn't as close as it looked..The only prayer Ming had from keeping TJ from scoring a TD..Would be had he was able to strip the ball from TJ. & The Swamp Kittens had recovered the fumble..
Again his forward momentum was impeded by Loston. That's the only reason Mingo had a prayer. One stutter step to the outside and he cut it back in giving Mingo a better angle. Mingo got a hand on his hip, but mostly he lunged for air. I applaud Mingo for not giving up though, but when TJ caught and he "Make a man miss" it was a wrap.

Exactly..I agree 100% with ya..The only way Mingo was going to stop the TD..Would be if had he somehow stripped the ball..I don't think that would happen either..It looked like Yeldon had a "death grip" on the ball..It wasn't going to be stripped either..The playwasn't as close as it looked..

Still one of the best plays of the season. The third and five play in the Georgia was just as big for him. It was the play right before the bomb to Amari. If he doesn't fight and get those five yards we don't go to Miami.
My thoughts exactly, to me that third down play was the biggest play that gets very little attention!
