Mooooooooo! The NCAA has started an investigation into the cars that Alabama players drive. GMAC driving a black Range Rover, Julio getting out of an older Escalade with spinning wheels and Don'ta getting out of a truck with rims on it. I am surprised on other teams pages that haven't discussed that.
In answer to someone else's question, this has to be a joke. Otherwise it would have had to be written by a Barn non-grad who would not have watched an ESPN special about Alabama. :conf2:The NCAA has started an investigation into the cars that Alabama players drive. I definitely get what you're saying and can empathize. I'm darn near 6'6" and am carrying my "married weight". However, in my mind, vehicles like Land Rovers and Hummers are for off-roading. It is superfluous to me. I see many soccer moms driving around in their Land Rovers and Range Rovers and Mars Rovers and think "wow, that is like using a thoroughbred as a carriage horse".I thought the same thing back in the day when Shaq would drive these enormous cars around...thinking he was just full of himself. Then he showed why he needs them...because he is huge and cannot fit into a normal-size car. I'm willing to bet these guys are somewhat similar. They are big guys...much bigger than most of us...and they won't comfortably fit into a standard-size car. If GMac has a bigger car...he can take his teammates out for dinner without them being uncomfortable.
Trust me...I'm a doctor.
Speaking of G'mac taking the boys out for dinner, have the AU fans launched a full scale investigation into this matter?
 :rolleye2:JT4UA has started a rumor about the cars that Alabama players drive. He was trying to be funny but his internet humor is lacking, along with any smileys to indicate his poor attempt at humor
Southern cooking and city full of government workers.I was watching a documentary on "Obesity In America" a couple of nights ago and during the program they declared Montgomery, AL as the "Obesity Capitol Of The World."
How true. Montgomery also seems to not only be the fat arse capitol but the fat head capitol of the world too. :biggrin:Southern cooking and city full of government workers.![]()
You have no idea what you're talking about, so just stop.As most of you know, I'm a Bama fan (read my posts if you don't believe me).
I questioned if that would be a violation or not. My reasoning is that Greg did not know the o-line before they were in the 9th grade. That is one of the reasons MD is in the case he is in. He and Marvin Austin were not friends until high school. I know that Coach Saban and the compliance staff would not allow it if it was against the rules. Also, if it is against the rules, the NCAA is even more ridiculous.
I was told by someone knowledgeable that it is a gray area.
I don't. What makes you think that? You have no idea what you're talking about, so just stop.
Alright. I remember people mentioning the 9th grade rule being apart of it.It's not, so you can relax. Marvin Austin being a runner for an agent is the problem in the MD case, not the before 9th Grade rule.
Anybody remember the cooking show "Two Fat Ladys"? British show where they used stick upon stick of butter and cup upon cup of shortening to make every kind of fried food and pies. And it hit me: these people are cooking like they're starving and need EVERY calorie to survive. And that's when I realized that their predecessors, like mine, were once near starving and when they'd eat that Sunday dinner or Thanksgiving meal that they'd saved for, they'd say "Boy, if I cold just afford it, I'd eat like this EVERY meal."Good thing Fluker missed that meal. That looked like a recipe for a coronary with all that greasey food. No wonder these guys are so huge.
I was watching a documentary on "Obesity In America" a couple of nights ago and during the program they declared Montgomery, AL as the "Obesity Capitol Of The World." Duh, hasn't anybody figured out yet that it's the food they eat?
HAHA..Not yet anyways..If it will hurt Bama..The ncaa can & will bend or break their own rules..Ask Alfy Hill..Greg's dad is a VP with the cowboys. There's no NCAA rule against your parents having money.
To me best post of the week!People judge others for the stupidest of reasons. What if you drive a Hummer while wearing a jersey and looking to get an autograph? White helmets!

A Range Rover IS a Lane Rover. That's kind of like saying "It's not a Honda, it's an Accord." :wink:It was a RANGE ROVER! About $40K difference in the price!
I can relate. Whenever I used to drop my sons off at Hoover High I would often see everything from Hummers to BMW's, etc. I could not even imagine what the insurance cost would be for a 17 year old driving one of these vehicles.Yep, his would probably be one of the more modest vehicles you would see in that high school parking lot.
