Got a good feeling about this one. Could be a great Jack LB, which is what I believe we are recruiting him as.

Fletcher also revealed that Hill, one of the top defensive recruits in the country, will make his college choice known at a press conference at the school on Sept. 9. Hill, who Fletcher said has already made his decision, will pick between North Carolina and Alabama.

We'll see. I think we're in pretty good shape here. He's not a 'Bama lock, but I do think we want him and he is clearly very interested in us. Anything can happen, and I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way.

No complaints either way, though. If we get Alfy, we get a great player. If not, Saban will just go get us another great player. Life is good.

Not to hijack the thread but Andrew Bone seems to think we have a good shot at getting Hill, Mosley and Luc. I think we look really good for the first 2. Do we really have a shot a Luc?

I think its mostly between UF and FSU for Luc. Luc does have a lot of interest in Bama and he really likes the 3-4 D , and it seems thats one of the reasons Bone thinks we stand a better shot than many do. We should get an official visit from Luc though, so who knows? But I think he stays in Florida.

And if we miss out on Hill, it would seem that distance is the only factor right now.

I was just about to post this, Interesting tidbits from Bones last Recruiting Transcript. He does seem to be throwing some Luc Hints out there.

Andrew Bone: Owens is very high on Alabama. I know Alabama does not have many spots and selective with the remaining prospects. I expect only two linebacker slots are open. C.J. Mosley is likely a top priority for one of the slots. Jeff Luc is also in the mix.

Andrew Bone: I was counting Alfy Hill as a possibility, but Alabama may end up with someone else. Alabama will keep a very close eye on Carlos Gray from Pinson Valley the first few games of the season.

Not a realistic one IMHO. I think we obviously have a very good shot at getting both Hill and Mosley, which would be a fantastic haul considering what we already currently have on campus at LB.

Agree 100%. Going forward we will get awesome recruiting classes regardless of who we get. It's like Christmas with generous, wealthy parents. You know you're getting a bunch of top notch new toys, you're just not sure which ones.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect is expected to select the Crimson Tide over North Carolina.
