OK, the only planes that left the state of Alabama today directly from the Tuscaloosa Airport were ones going to Franklin, NC, New Orleans, and Memphis. I don't think any of these places would be connected to the coaching search, and especially the planes going to New Orleans and Memphis, which are common places to go from Tuscaloosa. DEP, LLC, flew the plane to NC, which returned soon after to Tuscaloosa.

Anyway, flight aware will give you the air traffic at Tuscaloosa airport. The link is http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KTCL/departures.

Wow,,, these media "sources" are worse than the Criminal Infomants I use at my job. If I had sources like that,, i would never get search warrant!
been there done that and i agree woth you, reliability in those "snitches" would hard to build. i'd hate to go to a judge and swear to it as the truth!!!:biggrin2:

My main concern regarding Saban:

Even before he took the LSU job, it was well-known that he really wanted to go to the pros. Now he's done it, and he wants out after just two years? I'd kind of like an explanatin on that.

Secondly, from the moment he took the LSU job, his name swirled about every big job that came open. We certainly don't need that nonsense, so if they offer Saban, it should come with an astronomical buyout.

Maybe he has quickly discovered that the pros are not his cup of tea as a HC? I think Spurrier found that out real quick but was too stubborn to give up any sooner than he did.

i think that's a possibility....noone mentioned spurrier's stint in the pros when he was the hot rumor....he only spent two years in the pros too....

On Finebaum's show just now (6:35 p.m.) he just called NS's attorney Jimmy Sexton, and Sexton denied as totally unfounded and untrue that any Alabama people were meeting today in Florida. So, for another what it is worth.

I'm getting the feeling that something is askew in this whole coaching search. If Jimmy Sexton is jerking us around I'll be very angry.

All the BOT's dont live in T-town. If there is any truth to this, which I'm thinking there isn't now, the plane could have flew out of another air strip.

I think if it had been a BOT more than likely it would have been PBJ's.

According to Paul Finebaum who contacted Jimmy Sexton (Saban's agent) there is no truth to the story. Sexton has expressed that Saban is NOT interested in the job again and again. Take it for what its worth.

As far as I'm concerned that story doesn't hold water and should be dumped. I am of the opinion that CRR will be announced as our new head coach Friday afternoon. Okay so that's what I am hoping for, but I believe it too.

WAKA in Montgomery ran the same kind of story regarding Spurier last week.

It seems Dan Rather has had an impact on sports journalism in Alabama. ;)

I would't plan on anybody connected with this search using a plane with a number that many others would know about...unless it is to throw off people from the true target.
...I think you are possibly hitting on it now. I have thought exactly as much to help RR to make up his mind sooner rather than later.
