Game Thread: Fri 9/27 Games: VaTech @ Miami (630p CT ESPN) | Wash @ Rutgers (7p CT FOX)

Replay sucks again. College football loses again. Sad! I just don't have many more give a craps left.

If the standard is that in order to overturn the call on the field the referee must see "incontrovertible visual evidence" that the original call was incorrect for a call to be overturned then they saw something that wasn't there. Nothing was "incontrovertible" ... Surmised? yes. Deduced? possibly. But incontrovertible? no way.

I've seen too many overturns (most going against us but some for us) where that standard wasn't met and must conclude that the standard is only a suggestion.

That is why I wish they gave them 10 seconds. You can watch it twice. If it's obvious, it is easy to make the change. If you have to slow it down and go back and forth and guess, it isn't. Keep the call on the field and play. There should not be time to bring in "experts" on TV or bring a stupid TV on the field for a person who isn't making the dang call. Sheesh!
GIVE THEM 10! This is my new campaign to actually do something to help college football.

Most refs probably dont know what incontrovertible means so they just go with what they think which is not much...

If you want to know why people are losing faith in the overall integrity of the game and conspiracy theories get started, look no further than the reversal of that call last night.
There was absolutely nothing indisputable about the play. Whatever the call on the field, it must stand.

Yeah, I would not have had a problem with the call if it were called incomplete on the field. My problem and everyone's problem is the reversal.
