Watching this VT clown show gives me hope that my years of NCAA dominance on the PlayStation gives me hope that my college coaching career might still happen.
Replay sucks again. College football loses again. Sad! I just don't have many more give a craps left.
Not really. Not with a 12 team playoffThe ACC needed miami to stay undefeated, the refs complied.
Like Coach just said, the ref sees a guy goto the ground it's got to be a hold, sometimes it's just a good blockI don't know, I think the holding call on long run was more questionable.
That is why I wish they gave them 10 seconds. You can watch it twice. If it's obvious, it is easy to make the change. If you have to slow it down and go back and forth and guess, it isn't. Keep the call on the field and play. There should not be time to bring in "experts" on TV or bring a stupid TV on the field for a person who isn't making the dang call. Sheesh! If the standard is that in order to overturn the call on the field the referee must see "incontrovertible visual evidence" that the original call was incorrect for a call to be overturned then they saw something that wasn't there. Nothing was "incontrovertible" ... Surmised? yes. Deduced? possibly. But incontrovertible? no way.
I've seen too many overturns (most going against us but some for us) where that standard wasn't met and must conclude that the standard is only a suggestion.
that conference wants 2 teams in. they don't get that if miami has 2 losses. one of which is to a 4 or 5 win Virginia Tech teamNot really. Not with a 12 team playoff
Yeah, I would not have had a problem with the call if it were called incomplete on the field. My problem and everyone's problem is the reversal. If you want to know why people are losing faith in the overall integrity of the game and conspiracy theories get started, look no further than the reversal of that call last night.
There was absolutely nothing indisputable about the play. Whatever the call on the field, it must stand.
Agreed - I have seen the replay many times and have no idea, so neither do the officials. They literally made it up.Yeah, I would not have had a problem with the call if it were called incomplete on the field. My problem and everyone's problem is the reversal.
