Notre Dame is now behind 16 points going into half-time. I haven't been watching the game hard, but since I am here in Big Ten territory it is on now. It looked like the new coach was going to tear his hair out for a minute there. All I can do is smile at him, welcome to Weis' pain.

Penn State vs. Indiana State looks ends at 41 to 7 for State, next week might be interesting.

Edited to Add: Mandatory evacuation of the stadium...ND's coach might be thanking his lucky stars right now.

Notre Dame was lucky it was only 16 down at the half. USF has squandered some great opportunities. If they make it back out there, it'll be interesting to see if it haunts them.

USF is up 23-13 with 7 minutes to go. I do enjoy watching the golden domers take a lickin'.

Yep. That's my four boys. Oldest is 8 and the trips are 6....
You truely can have "trips right" in a game of back yard ball......... As for the domers...hahaha. I actually heard two folks on tv yesterday say "this ND team had the talent to make a run at the title"......talk to me now.......Skip could have been coaching for the next shot at head coach at ND yesterday....wouldn't that be funny....

Not to mention, although I have heard him just a couple of times this year, Lou Holtz STILL just gushes with praise for ND no matter what they do. I'm sorry to say it, but I have to turn the channel or use the mute button every time he comes on my TV screen. It's just too much for me to bear.

I was watching (during the TCU-Baylor game I think) ESPN when they were giving predictions for some Saturday games...of course Granny Lou couldn't help himself. He just had to add "he truly thought ND would go all the way this year". Bless his little domer homer heart.

If this were the 1960's, all yesterday's outcome would mean is that ND would drop a couple of spots and USF would be ranked in the top ten in the next poll.

These years of ND stinking it up make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. That said, I do actually like Lou, but never take him seriously. I often think he is just putting on a show and that he really doesn't feel as strongly about ND as he acts. Go ahead and call me crazy. I'll still laugh at Lou every time he's on and enjoy his Dr. Lou skits.

On thing I'd like to know is how long Kelly will last with all the cursing he's doing on the sidelines. Not that I care, but ND has a repuation to uphold.

Chip Kelly is Oregon's coach. You're thinking of Brian Kelly.

Granny Lou just can't let go....anyone else catch the comment he made during halftime (I think) of the Maryland-Miami game that he thought ND could still run the table the rest of their ballgames... just amazes me....
