Gary and Vernes Bloopers

please tell me they are drinking in the booth while calling the game. That was funny but if someone did a video like that for the entire season, it would be even better.

Roll Tide Roll

I'm watching the game right now...and after pj tackled James, Gary called pj Richards (I think that was the name it wasn't close) - dont know where that came from....

Also the halftime guys said saban iced his own kicker by taking a timeout before tiffin missed it - he didn't time a timeout did he? It was an official review ?

Been critical of this pair of dufuses all season; however, found broadcast pretty good by their low standards. Danielson's propensity to trash our QB, was somewhat subdued. May have been as a result of at least one pre-game encounter of not the too pleasant kind, and some imputs to NBC by TX advertisers. Also continued reference to and detailing of Ingram's family is in bad taste and totally unsatisfactory. JFI, I witnessed ESPN's Dez Howard getting an earful from a parent on the sidelines...he was in full retreat, with alot of a,a,a,a,a's.... Additionally, I am highly p***** by fact no post-game Championship Presentation coverage was on my DVR. Instead, a cut to a goofy game show. Totally unsatisfactory. NBC was given rights to SEC games...and this is the way they treated our BAMA and SEC. Know SEC mentality was "national broadcaster" gives SEC more exposure. However, in this case believe NBC overall performance/professionalism has been highly suspect. Too many "cut aways" by sports broadcast standards, and announcers slanted, hyper-critical, uninformed, comparitively non-professional...and in some cases, simply sappy...

Speaking of errors. It's kind of funny that you blast and criticize the CBS team...and you don't even know that it is CBS, not NBC that broadcasts SEC games.

Dear God, THAT was the edited version???

I think I agreed with the post though...applied to CBS. Actually, it's structure kinda reminded me of Vern and Gary. :)

Got me...multitasking on handheld at it's worst. My apologies. That said, will be willing to match academics, athletic background, or military record with any "never have been-will be" that likely has never been inside B.D. let alone attended/graduated from our BAMA. Cheers!!!

The AFLAC question was another blooper by Vern. The question was what teams won three undisputed NC in four years. The answer was Minnesota in the 1930's and Notre Dame in the late 1940's. Vern then went on to say that greats Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis played on those Notre Dame teams. That's not so, Blanchard and Davis both played on the great Army teams of the 1940's.

Congrats on all of your accomplishments. I'm certain you are much, much smarter and more athletic than everyone else here.

Good for you on your background. I have nothing but respect for military guys and alumni. Even if you are wrong on Danielson.

But if you were intending to disparge my pedigree....
-I attended my first game in Bryant Denny as a boy in 1982.
-I grew up in Tuscaloosa and lived there up until 7 years ago
-I hold two degrees from Alabama
-I still know the UA campus like the back of my hand
-I was in the Georgia Dome Saturday night
-and I can more than hold my own with the bench press among other things.
Cheers!
