Gators Wearing Throwback Uniforms???

K, I caught the tail end of the Urban Meyer show (not that i usually watch it, but with us playing FL this comming Saturday thought it could be interesting) And i think they mentioned that FL will be wearing throwback uniforms. I don't know why (and i'm very superstitious) but this makes me feel uneasy. Not that the Ark game didn't...but still...opinions??? And will their uniforms be the old F helmets?

Actually, I find that teams who wear throwbacks usually play like crap. Dallas usually plays like goat anus when they wear their old throwbacks. Unless Emmitt Smith and Cris Collinsworth age back 20 years and get on the field, I don't see a problem with it.

Good you've made me feel a little better already. Hey maybe it'll be like Notre Dame was last year against USC with the green uniforms...they came close but couldn't do it. Perhaps Florida will have that same luck...It'd make for a great game.

Yes, they should be wearing the old 'F' helmets. If you noticed, they had one sitting behind them on the set.

I also watched the end of the UM show to see his comments about Bama. The only things he said were that Florida is looking for payback and that he hopes their stadium is as full and as loud as it was for the UT game last season.

Payback can be a tricky thing. Sometimes you can focus so much on the 'payback' that you end up shooting yourself in the foot. Let's hope that happens this week. How sweet it would be to end their 11 game home winning streak. Last time we were there, we broke a longer home winning streak.

yes i too heard UM speak of "payback"...let's hope they get caught up in the payback and can't concentrate. Nothing (other than beating Auburn or Tennessee) would make me happier than to win in the Swamp...

Let's hope they play like the Gators that used to where those uniforms. We always wear throwbacks at Bama. Why change a beautiful thing!

The will be wearing the uniform worn int he 60s by players like Spurrier. Blue jerseys and white pants.

That weekend will also be the 100 years of football weekend. Tons of former Gators will be there and there is some big gala that Friday night.

It was already a tough ticket to get, throw that on top, and who knows.

I'll be there, tickets or no tickets.
