Geathers' Play Last Night

Just a question to those who have watched the replay. Was Geathers that good or was Drew having an off night or was it some combination of the two?

I gather - har har - that we won't play against many guys like him.

What say you all?

I would say a little bit of both, but man I would like to have him on my team. I can say that about a lot of players on SC's defense.

I would agree too its both.Clifton is getting better every time he gets on the field.

Geathers definitely used his speed on Davis - but really, he was coming from McElroy's right and supposedly the QB shares some responsibility for dodging when being rushed from his throwing (seeing) side.

That said, Geathers is a hoss....and he could play in our 3 deep.....

Geathers, Matthews, and Norwood can play for anybody in the country. Problem with USC front 7 isn't talent or athleticism, it's depth.

He is good. Also their backers will hit you in the mouth. Just a tough group i thought.

From what I saw, he's pretty good. I think USCe has the best defense we've played or will play until the SECCG.

Good point. If the young man wasn't trying, Coach Saban wouldn't be starting him. If he could shut down all the elite DEs in the SEC, the NFL would be drooling over him.
