Why? The replay confirmed the call was correct. Otherwise they would have said "the ruling on the field stands" if there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it.
Yeah, I know what they are saying and why they say it, just weird.

The replay showed his eyes follow the ball all the way to the ground, but he complained about the sun.

He may have seen the ball once it got close but he probably couldn't see it before it got to him.
