How big is the family? How old are the kids?

The Bryant Museum is definitely a good stop. I'd also take in as much of the Quad/pre-game activities as possible. Check out the band playing by Gorgas Library, the Elephant stomp to the stadium, the team arriving at the Walk of Champions, and all the others I might be missing. If you are looking for places to eat, you have some family friendly places on the Strip right next to campus, but all restaurants will be super crowded that weekend. Just be prepared for that, regardless.

It's just me and my friend we couldn't find a hotel to stay in so we are making the drive back to Nashville after the game Thanks Everyone

1. Breakfast at The Waysider
2. Bryant Museum
3. Grab a bit on The Quad at one of the vendors, or head to Big Bad Wolf on The Strip.
4. The Houndstooth for a drink.
5. Gallette's for a Yellowhammer
6. Back to the Houndstooth to watch the afternoon games, or on The Quad...
7. Walk of Champions at 3 O'clock
8. To the Red Shed
9. Head to the stadium for the game
10. Back to The Strip for a bite and to watch the games still going on
11. End the night at Innisfree...

Jay,
Driving back after a late game is a thrill killer because you'll be so exhausted by the time you return. You can look for a hotel in Bessemer or in Birmingham and it will leave you feeling better about the experience. You could also stay in Cullman where there are hotels right off I-65. I've made the drive back to Nashville a couple of times and by the time you've tailgated all day, fought the I-59/20 traffic to B'ham, and then drive the 3 hours to Nashville....well it's exhausting.
Don't know what you can afford, but I recommend you go all the way and find someplace to light rather than make that drive.

Best advice in the whole thread. That drive back will be a real downer after all of your game day activities. I would at the least just put the car in park at a rest spot and finish that drive on Sunday AM.

Thanks SavannahDare great advice will do that and thanks everyone for the advice I will post about my first trip as soon as I get back!! This is absolutely the best Alabama website on the Internet
