Good : I was a jalen fan. Still am. But jeeeeeezuz. It's a different animal in three with tus. Best analogy: the difference between you or me driving a formula 1 car vs a professional.

Bad: stupid stupid mistakes. Tackled for loss on 3rd down two times in a row and on both we commit ridiculous penalties? The penalties in general tonight have to be one of the highest we've had in a while.

The ugly: Sabans temper for the next 72 hours. There will be some grown man but chewing going down and no one is safe.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

The Good- Tua running that offense should scare the you know what out of rest of SEC. Plus, Jaylen Waddle is a freak. Our return game is once again a weapon.

The Bad- our line didn’t impress me. We got pressure from blitzes. Our OL struggled with blitz.

The Ugly- Saban’s face as it contorts in rage at second half miscues, mental lapses, and stupid penalties. Plenty of material for what coach calls “learning opportunities!”

Ps- I would definitely say tua won the team!

Good: Tua distributing the ball and man that quick release and accuracy.

Bad: Penalties at inopportune moments especially dumb ones after the play.

Ugly: Kicking game.

Good: Offensive efficiency with Tua behind center. Thought the offense played extremely well

Bad: Penalties

Ugly: Coach Saban’s wrath on Monday

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Tua
Bad: Kicking (again), Oline did not look that great, they scored 14
Ugly: Saban berating the lovely, hawt Maria taylor. All the penalties. There were way too many personal fouls.

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Tua/offense in general
Bad: Secondary's got a lot to work on (raw/green but lot's of talent)
Ugly: Bobby Petrine's twin brother (head ref)

Ugly: Bobby Petrine's twin brother (head ref)[/QUOTE]

I told my husband the exact same thing. He looked just like Petrino

So funny, I too thought the head ref looked like Petrino.

No doubt I’ve been “Processed” as a fan...a totally dominant win against a decent Power 5 team and I look at it as a blueprint for what we need to improve.

Loved Saban’s answer at the end about the QBs.

Roll Tide Roll!

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good - Jalen smiling and having fun on the sideline while Tua started first half.

Bad - pass protection breakdown and penalties

Ugly - Louisville trying to play 12 men.

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Game was so much in hand that I was looking at the 3rd quarter like "wow, we really got another quarter left?" Oh by the way, Waddle has a chance to be VERY special. I am encouraged by the secondary.

Bad: O line has to get better, especially with the running game. UL D line played well but we shouldn't have been without a 100 yard rusher in this game IMO Our D looked like they got complacent at times.

Ugly: Penalties, penalties, penalties ... did I say penalties?

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Tua. This really should be labeled Great. As I said in the game thread, I've never seen anything like this at Alabama. I just pray he stays healthy. If he does, he is winning the Heisman, and he will be the first overall draft pick when he declares after next season. Also, Jacobs and Waddle in the return game. The depth at RB and WR. The front 7. The raw talent of the secondary which will come along as the season progresses. Thompson was a beast.

Bad: The QB rotation. The score would have been 42-0 at halftime if it weren't for the rotation. I hate it for Jalen, I really do. And I know Coach Saban does. But I just don't think it's a good idea, and its only going to hold this offense back.

Ugly: The refs. I've seen worse blown calls. But I don't think I've seen a worse crew. I wouldn't want them officiating a pee wee game.

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Tua and the rest of the offense. The defense. The special teams. The coaching.

Bad: Mental mistakes

Ugly: Allowing the other team to goad you into unsportsmanlike conduct penalties

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: Tua, Tua and Tua.

Bad: Growing pains.

Ugly: Maria Taylor's usual underwhelming line of questions.

Gotta list all three but I’m stoked about this season because:
Good - offense with Tua is stupid good and defense held a potentially explosive offense in check
Bad - mental mistakes, penalties (fixable)
Ugly - kicking game, Bama’s seemingly perennial albatross
Was it me or did the punter look like he had stage fright?

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good - Tua and those receivers
Bad - Lot's of hopefully first game mental mistakes and dumb penalties
Ugly - All those Tim Brando threads on the board

Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Cardinal style:

Good: TUA!

Bad: Silly penalties. Our eternal kicking woes.

Ugly: Saban's disposition after the game.(Poor Maria)
