Good News Thread

Well, more good news…

Parker Brailsford is the centers name and says he heavy interst in Bama.

we need the depth for sure, so I am sure he's a take, but at just 275 I worry about what some of the big DTs in the SEC will do to him, especially with so many showing the ability to play shifted where even in a 4 man front, they're putting a guy in the A gap to pressure the OC.

My beloved mother passed away last month. She always loved reminding me that you can only control your own reaction to anything that happens in life. She was an eternal optimist and helped people through their most difficult times in their lives. She also always reminded me to keep perspective in its proper place depending upon what I was getting exercised about. Let’s just say I appreciated her advice these last couple of weeks. ROLL TIDE!
Man thats good stuff. Moms can be truly awesome and she sounds quite qualified. I needed to hear all of this. Thank you and Mom too.

Yeah, he was handled a bit by Michigan. But everyone was.

Looks impressive to me.
2023 All-Pac-12 Second Team
2023 Freshman All-America FIrst Team
2023 Shaun Alexander Award Semifinalist
Started all 15 games.
Shorter in stature with impressive length. Lean build and proportional weight distribution. Athletic offensive lineman with high-upside at center. Shows great bend and nonstop motor. Displays very good footwork and knack for picking up blocks downfield. Flashes balanced technique and comfort level in pass protection and on run plays. Agile out of his stance and maintains leverage through contact. Could continue to improve overall strength and lower-body drive. Potential multi-year starter at the Power Five level with chance to garner NFL Draft attention.

We definitely didn't dominate them ourselves

He is a bit lighter than James brokermeyer. Who's listed at 285. Size would be a concern, but not skill.

He can and does pull from center which is incredibly athletic. Would really need to add 15 lbs, but we need his experience and he's a real Remington candidate

Get him to any bragg and Ballou and we are good

Sounds like William Vlahos. I know 2009 might as well be the dark ages compared to today, but still.

One of my favorite CNS OL players.

Whenever I see his name I instantly think of him playing his tail off in the '09 SECCG pulling and then just sticking and driving a Fla defender while Mark makes a Jump-Cut through a hole.

It was Beautiful.

This team may surprise us. For the last 15 years or so anything less than a national championship somehow felt like failure... at least to many of us. The new era feels like an opportunity to build again instead of trying not to fall off the pinnacle. The portal is part of the first stage. It makes us anxious but there's a lot to be said for the end result, a group of players who had both the opportunity and the "excuse" for leaving, but who ultimately chose to stay.
Spring practice will likely create a few more departures, but those who stay may well be part of a team that is fun to watch and easy to pull for.
I'm really appreciating the Lawson quote about "not running from change."

For all you younger whipper snappers, there was a time when a 10 win season was considered excellent. A major bowl win was a cherry on top of the sundae!
