I went into one of the Bama Fever stores the other day. I left the Tiger Pride name off on purpose. The guy working the store was an obvious Auburn fan. You know the type. Overalls, Buckteeth, married to his sister. j/k Anyhow he was talking with a friend of his about the trees in Toomer's Corner. I proceeded to shop on the Bama side of course. As I was looking around I heard the two Aubies making smart comments about Bama fan's and even made a few snide remarks at me. I guess they didn't think I could hear them. After hearing one too many remarks I politely walked up to the guy working the store. I asked him if they sold any Auburn Toilet paper. He asked me no they didn't but why would I want any. I proceeded to tell him that everytime I used the bathroom I would like to wipe my rear with Auburns logos. Of course he didn't like that too much and just said at least we won the N.C. I said congrats on that and said it took long enough and cost enough. By now he is starting to turn red. He then proceeds to say at least our championship's are legit and not mythical like Alabama's. I told him go check your NCAA record books and you will see we have every bit of 13 championships and then some. Of course we don't claim the extras but the NCAA has them recorded. I told him just enjoy your championship while it lasts. I always get a good feeling inside when I kill em with facts. I just couldn't believe the guy was bold enough to be rude to a customer. :biga:

The NCAA's website gives us credit for 11, which is still 10 more than the ONE they give aubie credit for. (they haven't updated for 2010 yet.......foreshadowing?

Always kinda surprised when I read these threads. I mean, I would just walk from people like that, not sure why anyone would want to engage them.

Now I must take the long ride to Hoover to the Bama Fever Store (not Bama Fever Tigger pride..just Bama Fever) or order on line.
I agree. I had a Korean martial arts instructor years ago that used to preach: "If you let your enemy affect your judgement, you have lost. If you allow yourself to fall into your enemy's trap, you have lost without striking a blow." It's a tough one to practice but it's up to you to determine who controls the situation. Path of least resistance is most often the wiser choice.

Do we really need another barner to tell us that stuff?

Had an Auburn fan point out that 1941 season, trying to trip me up about the 13 number. I said, OK, take that and give us 1966 where we got hosed, and it's still 13.

I just pick up Auburn NC shirts or gear and ask do they have a money back policy should the info on the items become false for any reason.
I have put up with barners at work something awful the last several years. They always and I mean always start the trash talking. For a few years I took the high road and ignored them. The last few years I still take the high road but ask "are you sure you want to debate"? And they say yes. I am smiling on the inside and let them attack me first as always. Then I ask them: "have you contacted HR to ensure your diploma's are going to be recognized in case of SAC's taking away your accreditation"? This momentarily freezes them (big words and they have to call FoyUnion helpdesk
...... Next, I say how can you enroll scholarship athletes in classes not part of the curriculum? Again, they shrug their shoulders and look puzzled. Next, I ask them are they really going to buy a NC print in pencil? I explain the part about loosing the NC due to all the infractions. Now they are ....ed. And I tell them, you start this crap and that is what you get. They say some things about our coaches and I say, your greatest coach is now at UNA. That comment really really gets them upset. Conversation over.
I hope the Aubrens remember to keep their receipts for their championship gear. What's the time limit on WalMart's return policy?
