Governor Tuberville?

Tuberville's term does end in 2026 (technically, January 2027), so he could slide straight from the Senate to the Governor's office.

I'm not sure he'd win the Governor's job, but he might. Either way, he's a blithering moron.

So it begs two questions: First, who would win Tuberville's Senate seat? Second, if not Tuberville in the Governor's office, who might beat him? Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth is incredibly ambitious, and at least as much of a buffoon as Tuberville. I think they'd have an entertaining race.

At least in the Governor's office Tuberville would no longer have a national platform on which he could display his ignorance.

Regardless, it could make interesting political theater.

I will literally vote for anyone else besides Tubbs. Dude doesn't even live in this state.

"Fear the thumb" should be enough for every Bama fan to ignore his name on a ballot but, we put him in D.C. The dumb football fans in this state would have no problem putting him in the governor's house.

He has the correct letter beside his name, nothing else matters.

Well, millions of Alabama fans who clearly knew he was a poorly-educated snake-oil salesman, elected him over a much more qualified Doug Jones. So, naturally I expect Tubberville to win in a landslide over any qualified, honest candidate. This is Alabama politics after all, where political affiliation and fealty to Trump is far more important that skill, qualifications, capability, etc.

Roy Moore?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
EXACTLY! If that pair of candidates get to a run off for the Governor race, then Alabama should forfeit its membership in the USA and cease to exist. :)

There are a lot of reasons to not vote for Tuberville. The fact that he coached at auburn and the fear the thumb crap is not even in the top 10 reasons.

That's only 3. #4 on my list is the fear the thumb crap. I despise the man for that, and I'll never vote for an Auburn coach. That may sound silly, and I admit it is silly but, no sillier than people just voting for a party no matter what or because he was a coach.

Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth has dropped out of the gubernatorial race.

Not really related to Tubby but just thought I’d add it as it’s not worth its own thread.
