Tuberville's term does end in 2026 (technically, January 2027), so he could slide straight from the Senate to the Governor's office.
I'm not sure he'd win the Governor's job, but he might. Either way, he's a blithering moron.
So it begs two questions: First, who would win Tuberville's Senate seat? Second, if not Tuberville in the Governor's office, who might beat him? Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth is incredibly ambitious, and at least as much of a buffoon as Tuberville. I think they'd have an entertaining race.
At least in the Governor's office Tuberville would no longer have a national platform on which he could display his ignorance.
