Why doesn't CMS and staff try to bring in more minor league baseball players. Usually, the organization will pick up the tab for their tuition and they won't have to count against our schollies. I read somewhere that this is what Miami did to get their program back on track after they got into trouble way back when. They brought in guys that were not going to make it in the Major Leagues and offered them a chance to play football. Think of all the athletes that were excellent high school football players but decided to play baseball. This would give the Tide much needed depth.

I understand your thought process here. HOWEVER, if they "try to bring in..." that makes those players "invited." Then, they DO count against the schollys.
