I ran across the website www.txbeef.org and i must say they have some GREAT steak rubs and marinades. I made this one last week and it was GREAT! I did have one complaint from my grandmother that it was slightly salty, so if you are partial to salt, then i recommend you hold back a little on the salt.
Matt Martinez Steak Rub
4 Tbsp. granulated garlic
4 Tbsp. Kosher salt (or 3 Tbsp. regular salt)
4 Tbsp. corn starch
2 Tbsp. paprika
3 Tbsp. coarse ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. white pepper
3/4 tsp. dried thyme

Combine all ingredients.
To use as a rub, sprinkle on beef at the rate of 1 tsp. for every 3 ounces of beef.
