Both will start out ranked in the Top 5, so a loss here won't really eliminate either from the CFBP down the line.

So I guess you have to try and guess which one winning would be least annoying?

It's hard to say....

If UGA wins the Southern Media will hype them up as the 'Team to Beat' from the SEC and it will get worse until they inevitably wet the bed.

If Clemson wins the National media led by Kirk Herbstreit will be even more insufferable than usual about how great Clemson and Dabo are and it will offset any regular season ACC game they might lose.

It's a lose-lose all around really for me as I dislike both pretty equally.

QB play should be even when given a clean pocket. DJ and JT are both top 4 pre season heisman odds.

RB: clemson has to replace their best running back in history and Georgia returns their RB room

OL: both teams similar here. I think this will be the deciding factor on who win the game. Which team can best protect their QB?

WR: still no news if Ross will play for Clemson. If Ross is healthy then I feel that is huge news for Clemson. Georgia does not have Pickens, however this is the most talented WR room that Georgia has ever had even without Pickens
______

DL: Both teams should have a top 5 DL in the country. Jordan Davis returning is huge for UGA while clemson keeps Murphy and Breesee

LB: again both teams are solid here. Nakobe Dean for Georgia will have a big year

CB: both teams have concerns here and could show growing pains in this department being the first game of the year

S: Both teams similar here but Georgia adds Tykee Smith

I guess the best would be a game with lots of turnovers where neither team looks impressive. The game is more important for UGA because if they have 2 losses (Clemson and a SECCG loss to Bama) they might miss the playoff while having only 1 loss to Bama in the SECCG they could still sneak in. I think Clemson wins however since it's been 10 years since Clemson lost 2 in a row.

Since Alabama is a part of the SEC I see no point in pretending we are an independent. Therefore I will lay aside personal feeling for/against both HC, fans and etc. SEC SEC SEC.

Its funny.... I know the majority of 12 (1 might be split) particular fan bases that will be saying “ Go Orange Green and White” when we line up against Miami.

I hope the SEC goes 1-13 on opening day.

I think that Clemson will win and since they win out after that game and make the CFP either way, I will be pulling for them while holding my nose.

I only pull for Alabama in the SEC
Same here.

Let’s rid the sports world of having to talk about Kirby until the cocktail party. Let Clemson crush them by 30.

We can deal with Dabo later.

Gotta' pull for UGA! Non-SEC America is tired of SEC dominance. A Clemson win will start the narrative about the SEC being overrated.

The road to the Championship likely runs through the SEC Title Game; and beating a heretofore undefeated UGA will carry more cache than an UGA that's been beaten by Clemson. This could matter to us if we pick up a loss (or two...) during the regular season.

In the weeks leading up to the game I will probably start to lean towards wanting Clemson to beat UGA and it doesn't really matter because on paper Clemson probably should beat UGA.

But the wild card here is Dabo's mouth. Don't put it past him saying or doing something or some things during game week to make me and everyone else here pull for Kirby to wax him.

I feel like his new found public arrogance is a genie that not's going back in the bottle anytime soon.

He can probably get away writing those checks in the ACC for the rest of his career but tOSU showed last season that those checks won't get cashed against Top Non-Conf Opponents going forward.
