Some on the Auby boards seem to be framing this as the noble Harsin vs the nasty PTB
Well you've been at this longer than I have - and Auburn has botched nearly every hire since Shug Jordan retired. They lucked into Dye, and even if folks want to say "well, Tuberville was successful," it was those same PTB that got busted flying off on a jet to try and hire Petrino without even having fired Tubs.

We've botched some hirings, but they've botched them worse with less margin for error.

"Low also noted that if Harsin is fired without cause, he is owed $18.3 million, with half due in the first month."

Auburn just paid out Gus over $21 million. Would they pay out Harsin over $18 million a year later? After one season? We are talking about nearly $40 million to tell two coaches to not coach at Auburn. This would mean firing a head coach after one season. This would be hilarious!

Even if Auburn doesn't fire Harsin, all of this craziness and doubt has to hurt their football program.

Most of even the most pro Harsin sources say that they would be shocking if he survives the week. Too much venom being leaked by boosters.

per FB post: “jetgate was an exercise of two adults coming to their senses after a horrible decision by one party and then started to hash out their differences to save a marriage.

This is one is two immature young adults who got married too young and now they are making fools of themselves by fighting over who gets custody of the dog after they split. “

Harsin has been daring them to take this course of action for Atleast a month. Auburn is about to literally be in the “are we better than Missouri” argument. It’s past NSD and really past bringing guys in for the spring. Auburn is wagering 2-3 years of being a the whipping dogs of the SECW because of this hire.

Per my son, follows most of the Auburn sites.

So Jay G. Tate of Auburn Rivals says that the infidelity/affair stuff is unsubstantiated.

However most of the allegations being made are what has been discussed here concerning abusive language toward players, coaches, staff and university employees. African American players met with Greene earlier this week expressing the belief that Harsin simply doesn’t related to them and much of what he directs toward them is interpreted as racist. It is the reason African American players are exiting the program.

It is this reason the University believes it has cause to terminate Harsin.

So, some are saying the affair thing is not true. Are we to believe that the girl moved from Boise Idaho to Auburn Alabama just because she really liked working for Harsin?
Not proven with concrete evidence and not true entirely are two different things. Keep in mind most 247 and rivals are pro coaches because they get access by being friendly.

But the affair like I said in the other thread was “just the tip of the iceberg”.

An alleged affair, then booster meddling, then Harsin is a mean guy, in just a few hours. So which is it? :)
