Well, the saga continues. My myeloma is doing fine as far as I know; but the rest of me....I felt bad starting July 4th...bronchitis, coughing , etc. On Monday the 7th I could not get up from the sofa/floor. Even my wife could not help me up. Called 911 lift assist and they insisted on taking me to the ER. While there pneumonia was confirmed and I was transported downtown t a major hospital. 4 days later I was released with a bucket load of medicines. I am much better now, but nowhere near normal.
What puzzles the MD's and myself is the ineffectiveness of the vaccines to help restore my immune system. I had the shingle and pneumonia shots and still developed both. If I get measles I am really going to be upset

. The flu came from a para influenza virus -- and I have had several flu shots.
My working out, exercise,, etc., has to have helped, but I have really been knocked backwards. It will be interesting to see, how much at 74, I can recover. I am hoping a lot. On the good side I have lost @ 7lbs as nothing really tastes good, so I eat @ ⅓ to ½ of what I ate prior to this.
Stay safe out there....BTW, the medical professionals I met at all levels -- nurses, aides, etc, are top notch. What a joy...
