With the love affair that the committee had with Oregon, I'm just glad they didn't influence the Heisman voters enough to give it to Bo Nix.
Common sense ought to tell someone - "when 4 of the 7 best passing yardage guys in CFB all play in the same conference and another on a 4-8 team is 20th,: it either means we have a golden crop of future NFL quarterbacks all at the same time in one league...or they're just compiling numbers against bad defenses.

They should have noticed that when 5 of the top 9 passers were in the Big 12 in 2008 and gave it to Bradford anyway.

Graham Harrell passed for 400 more yards, had a higher completion pct, and threw for 5 fewer TDs on a team that didn't run up the score. But Bradford played for Oklahoma - and that's all that mattered. Now I'll grant that Bradford's other numbers in the context of fewer attempts and completions blow Harrell away.

It's just that if you switch the two teams but keep the numbers...Harrell wins the Heisman by virtue of playing for Oklahoma.

I watched each interview on the Heisman show. I'm glad Nix did not win it because he is not the best of the 4 invited. His interview was fine though. I did not realize he was married. I occasionally read rumors on message boards about him possibly having a baby but never knew if that was true or not.

Hopefully next year Milroe will get invited. I just hope he plays well against Michigan and Texas/Washington for now and that Bama can get another championship!

Happy to see Jayden win it. He did amazing things this year. He isn’t the reason we lost 3 games. He is a large part of why we won 9. He is a great addition to that elite club.

By the way, he and Ingram had a long embrace, more so than with any other past winner. I wonder the back story there.
Never thought I'd see a worse defense than what Golding fielded out there the last 2 years, but yikes that Matt House unit for you guys was beyond brutal. With even an average or simply competent defense, yall might well be in the shoes Bama is in now. But I digress.
