Trevor second is all from the ESPN massive push for him after the conference championship games. ESPN laid it on thick that Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully it wasn’t enough to steal the award from Smitty but ESPN has way too much influence on this award.

Smith received 447 first-place votes (1,856 total points). Lawrence (222 first-place votes, 1,187 points) finished second, followed by Jones (138, 1,130) and Trask (61, 737).

Devonta is the best WR by far...it isn't even close. Think about this: in the 2017 recruiting class we had 4 1st round draft choices including a Heisman Trophy winner. Incredible...D.Smith; H. Ruggs, Tua T., and J.Jeudy. Have I missed anyone???

Except for the fact that Mac should have been in top 2, I like that Smitty wins over Mac. Mac has extra fire now, doesn't get the Heisman QB curse, etc. (not that I believe in any such nonsense)
