If you're a Verizon Wireless unlimited plan (mobile phone) subscriber, you can get Hulu & Disney+ & Espn+ bundle for free.
FYI, that bundle does not include the Hulu Live TV service, just the regular Hulu streaming service (similar to Netflix). You can add the Live TV service but it is not free, it's $59 a month.

Hulu does this as well. As a matter of fact Hulu will ask you about your favorite sports teams in the preferences and it will record any game for those teams. I watched a Braves game last year and was 10 minutes into the game before I realized I was a half inning behind the game thread.
I've tried all the major services and I just like YTTVs DVR better. Hulu's default DVR only allows 50 hours of recordings but, your recordings will stay until you delete them or run out of space. You have to pay $10 extra to get 200 hours of recordings. YTTV is unlimited for no additional charge but, recordings only stay for 9 months (re-airs on any channel start the 9 month clock over).

YTTV only seems to be behind by about 30-45 seconds for most sporting events I watch. Makes game threads a little tricky but manageable.

I tried all of them as well because they all had a week or more free trial. I like YouTube and Hulu. I tried Hulu last and the only reason I kept it was because I forgot to cancel during the free trial because they gave me a whole month free. Once I got charged I just kept it. I don't mind the limited DVR. I tend to delete anyway, plus I have it set up to delete the oldest and replace with the newest.

You can get the Disney+ bundle for around $15 per month and it gives you Disney+, ESPN+, and HULU. WIth ESPN+ you can watch all of the ESPN channels live and the SEC Network live. I think you can get ESPN+ by itself for around $6 per month

ESPN+ does not include the ESPN channels, they still make you sign in with a TV provider for that. ESPN+ is basically what use to be called ESPN3, plus some new original exclusive content they make just for ESPN+ and some live sports but, not stuff airing on the regular ESPN Networks.
I think live sports and live news is the only thing keeping the traditional cable/sat industry alive. If those ever offer an affordable direct to consumer option you can kiss "cable" TV good bye.

Warning on ESPN+. Blackout rules apply to local games. I.E. live in Atlanta, Braves will be blacked out.

Blackout rules are so stupid. I didn't realize they were still around. However, I'm definitely not surprise that if they are around, ESPN will have them.
Yep, they are a mess and only make it more difficult for fans to watch in a world that no longer relies on cable providers for TV.
Even MLB's own streaming service, MLB.TV, uses black restrictions because of contracts in place with Sinclair. Then Sinclair goes and ****** everyone off causing every streaming service and Dish Network to drop the regional channels. So, fans start looking for other options, see MLB.TV and then see nope, local teams are blacked out.

I get MLB.TV for free through T-Mobile but, I don't use it a ton because the Braves are blacked out. The service is really good though. The app is pretty good, it can overlay the box score and other stats over the video image. You can watch 2 games at one time. If MLB could some how renegotiate and get rid of the blackouts, it would be one of the best sports streaming service IMO. That will never happen though, especially since Sinclair announced plans to launch a direct to consumer MLB streaming service in 2022 that will cost $23 a month.

I didn't realize that. I checked and my dish account is connected to my ESPN+ account. I didn't realize that I had connected them and that is why I am able to watch it through the app.

Streaming has gotten as bad as cable when it comes to add-ons and prices. The only thing that makes it better than cable is the no contract aspect. Literally the only reason I will not go back to cable.
When we moved, I got the xfinity bundle b/c the total package made more sense than trying to piecemeal internet + cable + streaming + wifi equipment. However, when this contract expires, we'll probably go the streaming route and be fine with it.

So first off I already have cable. My wife and kids however have slowly added subscriptions to Roku over the past year because there are some extras on those. ( Disney, discovery, paramount, boomerang, netflix, and brittbox.) Now I am paying all of those every month plus a cable bill. I am thinking about just cancelling the cable and just adding on ESPN to the subscriptions but I have a few questions first. Can I stream 4 T.V.s without issues? What all do these blackouts include?

You cannot just get ESPN by itself, it's currently ONLY available through packages - SlingTV will be your cheapest avenue @ $35/month.

At 35 a month it probably has some channels I am paying for. It would need to have a good ammount to justify the price since most of my other subscriptions are under 10$ a month.
ETA
Why would ESPN do that to themselves? Why not let people by your product alone?

I use U-Tube TV, $65.99 gets all ESPN, (except plus), SEC network, FS&2, NBCSN, CBSSN. Golf Channel, NBA tv, plus several others I don't watch. And they have about 75 other channels, most of which I don't watch. the rest are "21 premium channels". My son pays for Infinity internet, 1200 mbs download, I get about 500+ here in the lower level (basement) on WI-FI!. Pretty sweet situation!
Forgot to add, NO CONTRACT quit anytime, hulu is no contract, I think the same for Pluto ,sling fubol and others.

SlingTV does. It's actually pretty good.

Existing contracts / guaranteed money.

I've noticed that the cable providers are now charging -- with wifi -- about what wifi and streaming would cost. They are not stupid...they see the competition. However, AT&T Uverse is going the way of the Dodo -- they would not even sell it to my friend in a new house in our development. He has AT&T streaming...and does not think the picture quality is as good.

As I said above the only thing streaming has going for it is there is no contract. You can switch in and out and cancel any time you want.
