Alive in Katy...we had some strong winds whipping around between 2-5 this morning. Power went out at 4:55 and came back on at 6 am. Cable still works, internet still works...one section of fence down, a lot of palm tree limbs down in the front yard...we've been blessed.

I filled up here this morning for $3.27 a gallon for regular. That is the cheapest. I've seen some this morning ranging from $3.39 to $3.45 for regular. I'm sure Monday morning gas up here will be up at least 50 cents. On Thursday there was this Delta gas station that was $3.19 a gallon for regular, this morning that same gas station was up to $3.45 for regular. I took my fiance's car and filled her's up too, for $3.27. As I was pulling up, there was a ladder by the station sign, they were about to raise their prices :biggrin:

Report from Lake Charles this morning is they lost power about 1 AM but got it back about 10 AM at my son's. No flooding, no tree or house damage, said it didn't look bad at all in South Lake Charles close to the University. He ran one generator about 2 hours.

Areas close to water does have some severe flooding and Sulphur Louisiana about 15 miles west of Lake Charles has much more damage and flooding. He heard gas was going up over $5 a gallon.

Hope everyone down that way is ok. I've got a cousin in Katy, but I believe he's still out of town. His mother (my Dad's Aunt) passed away in NW Indiana a few days ago, and he went up there.
