I was at the Georgia Dome Yesterday...a few points if you will

The Dome looks better than ever. They have repainted the outside too, and now it looks like a legit pro Football stadium. it is really nice. The Red and Black seats match the Falcons colors, and they have put Flat Screens up EVERYWHERE. On the outside of the Dome they have the Chick Fil a College Kickoff Banners everywhere.

The Dome was loud for a high school football game. This Saturday is going to be LOUd. I can't wait until this time next Sunday when I can't hear.
 
I envy you. I couldn't afford tickets. What a trip it will be. I hope that everyone that's going has an awesome time. Be safe tho.. Like I say, I policed there for several years and it's NOT SAFE outside. Use good judgment.
 
as long as people stay in the general area of the dome/convention center/centennial olympic park they should be fine safety wise. those areas are very well lit and during a major event there will be a huge police presence.

i run all of the time in the mornings and evenings alll around the dome/phillips arena and other parts around there and never have any problems

the really bad areas near there (west of the vince city station/northside dr and actually down in the gulch) are places no one attending the game should have any reason to be near, and like you say anyone with a sense of even ok judgment will be able to avoid these areas
 
That area down there always frightened me... the bad areas coupled with a very poor sense of direction will do that.

I had some events at the Dome I went to as a ute -- I always enjoyed them, but I made sure I stayed with my group and didn't wander.
 
Lets go and put on a show for the Tide. We have to show our pride and help our team. It will be just like a bowl game. Plus opening up away from BDS will put the burden on our fans that do attend. Lets do our best.
 
I have not been this excited about a game in a LONG TIME... I got endzone seats upperdeck, but honestly, I don't care, I will be in the dome, that is all that I care about

I just get the feeling we are going to put it on them
 
I'm pretty excited...the only time I've been in the GA Dome was for the SEC basketball tourney. Can't wait to see it this Sat!!

I am working in Atlanta this week and can see the Dome right outside my window. I just can't wait for this Saturday to get here. I'll be there...screaming my head off and hopefully helping to create a living nightmare for Clemson.
