O, when she's angry, she is keen and shrewd!
She was a vixen when she went to school.
And though she be but little, she is fierce.

you should know! after all you posted it and left alot to the imagination. what were you trying to get across, anyway? That the poor white male is being rejected by what you term "the liberal media"? I noticed you've resorted to casting dispersions the way your right winged cronies do.

As a white male myself, I can't imagine why I would want one. How will it help me, and why should I care?

Peachy ---

You need to cozy up a bit closer to the English language. It's "aspersions," not "dispersions."

Also, you seem to be losing your ability to capitalize. That is, you seem to be retrogressing. Brain tumor????

Actually, I would prefer a Southern History Month so that the truth could be known and not have revisionist history shoved down our throats.

Let's discuss the real root cause of the War of Northern Aggression - Money. Do you honestly think Lincoln cared about slavery?

He wanted to preserve the Union because the Southern states generated all the revenue for the country and kept many northern shipping magnates wealthy beyond belief. They shipped in slaves and shipped out agricultural products.

I think that will be one of my first acts when I get elected as a State Rep. Feb can be Black History Month, March can be Southern History Month.

Amen Displaced! A month for the "real thing," not the politically correct nonsense that too many ignorant people believe nowadays. Of course, we'll never get any states north of the Mason-Dixon line to sign on to the idea...

DBF, I agree with you on this issue. Although I think Lincoln really didn't care about the slaves, he did care about the Union. He stated "if he could preserve the Union by freeing all of the slaves, he would do; that if he could preserve the Union by freeing some of the slaves and not others, he would do it; and that if he could preserve the Union by freeing none of the slaves, he would do that". For Lincoln, the war was not necessarily about freeing the slaves, but, rather, preserving the Union.
I cannot however see your point for wanting a southern history month. Just kind of seems unnecessary. I guess I agree with you, I just wouldn't vote for you.

It's a cultural thing. We are losing our Southern culture and I think by having a Southern History month, we would preserve a lot of the dialect, architecture, and yes even the real reasons for the invasion of the South.

Fortunately, you're vote won't do much where I live.

What I was trying to point out is that the white male is the most discriminated human in the world at this point in time.

While a month is devoted to Black History and to Women's History, and who knows who else, and their accomplishments are extolled, it's like, for heaven's sake don't give the white male credit for anything. And for that matter let's rewrite history, and DISCREDIT our Founding Fathers, explorers, and even present day white males, call them murderers and the like, put down (quash, quell, topple, crush) what THEY accomplished, and just generally speaking, the white male ain't no good. Makes me damn mad!!!

I know I'm not as articulate as some of you guys, but I hope I made my point.
