Based on the history I would say either Georgia Tech or Georgia.

I would have to say the best team around the end of the 60s. Georgia Tech and Georgia would be my choice. Tennessee would be second, but what about Arkansas?

Arkansas is hard to say... I think the powers (in order) would be GA, GaTech, LSU, Florida -- TN rode to glory on Bama's coattails.

High school football is too big (and always has been) in Alabama not for one of the state schools to be a major force in college football, so my guess Auburn if not Alabama.

I find it amazing that, over the long haul, Florida hasn't been more of a power.

Based on records, TN has done really well in spite of our success. But, at the same time, you can't help but feel that UT has always been a bridesmaid in football. If it's not Bama on top, it's been someone else. TN always seems to do well; but there has almost always been one other team that's better.

GA has done really well in spurts.

If I had to guess I would say it would have been GA or FL.

Luckily, Bama took care of it on the field and all we're doing is speculating!

Georgia quite easily, IMO.

Tennessee would have benefited from us not becoming a power but Georgia the most.
